Dr. Baer’s passion for dentistry began at an early age when she worked at her father’s office in downtown Chicago. Seeing the dramatic effect a smile makeover had on a patient’s self esteem and confidence drove her to pursue a Bachelors of Science at the University of Michigan. From there she completed her dental studies at Indiana University school of Dentistry. While at Indiana she received awards in dental implantology and served on the executive board of the Student Outreach Clinic, providing complimentary care to underserved populations in Indianapolis. After receiving her doctorate she accepted a position as a General Practice Resident at Montefiore’s prestigious Centennial Clinic in the Bronx. At Montefiore she gained unique training in dental implant restorations and complex prosthodontic cases while improving her skills as a general dentist. Inspired by her training she decided to pursue a second year of residency and was selected as Chief resident.
Dr. Baer is passionate about her patient’s dental care as it relates to their overall health. She works with patients to identify and eliminate sources of dental problems so that they may be prevented in the future. Through Dr. Baer’s training she has been inspired to treat patients with the most advanced care available be it dental implants, clear aligners, or other restorative intervention. She believes that a smile is the first thing you notice about a person and that everyone deserves to make a beautiful first impression.
Dr. Baer grew up in Chicago, IL and now resides in Manhattan with her fiance and new cat Jonesy. In her spare time she enjoys baking, working out, and exploring NYC – especially its restaurants, museums, and live events!
